Hannah is from Westchester, New York. She transferred to Cornell her sophomore year from SUNY Binghamton. On campus, Hannah is a part of Cornell Emergency Medical Services. Back home, she also is a member of the local EMS agency. She has a dog and two cats and enjoys cooking and listening to country music.

Catherine was raised in Long Island, New York. She transferred to Cornell from SUNY Binghamton her sophomore year. On campus, she is a member of Cornell Circle K, Merlin’s Kids, and Cornell Rainy Day Magazine. From her experience at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology, wildlife rehabilitation centers, and the influence of her minor, she has become interested in conservation medicine and One Health.

Katie is a co-founder of Rho Psi Eta. She transferred to Cornell her sophomore year from Northeastern University. On campus, she is also involved in Alpha Phi Omega, Phi Sigma Pi, and neurobiology research. At home, she is a substitute elementary school teacher. She enjoys the outdoors, especially with her two dogs, Brook and Charley.

Cora is from Taos, New Mexico. She spends most of her free time training dogs for Cornell Guiding Eyes for the Blind and tutoring at a local elementary school. She enjoys spending time outdoors running and playing soccer and likes cooking as well. Cora is passionate about serving others and hopes to become a pediatric physical therapist.

Christina is a research assistant for a Human Development lab on campus and is a TA for CHEM 2070. Outside of school, she enjoys experimental cooking and binge watching crime shows.

Emily is from San Francisco, California. On campus, she is a member of the Undergraduate Research Board and Doctors Without Borders Cornell Chapter, vice president of the Persian Students Organization, CHEM 2070 TA, and researches seizures in Drosophila. In her free time, Emily enjoys hiking, traveling, singing, and spending time with family and friends.

Katie is from Rochester, New York. On campus, she is involved in Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity, Black Bio-Medical Technical Association, and the Biology Scholars Program. At home, she spends most of her time working at a local nursing home and volunteering at free clinics. She  enjoys oil painting, binging Netflix, running, and watching sunsets on the slope with friends.

Sama is passionate about pursuing a career as  a physician to make healthcare more accessible and equitable. She is a gymnast and enjoys teaching young gymnasts in her free time. She also loves baking, hiking, and spending time with her family, friends, and pet rabbit.

She transferred to Cornell her sophomore year from Villanova University where she completed neuroscience research as a Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience major. On campus, she is a Big Red Ambassador and an active member of Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity. She enjoys playing cello in her free time.

Yasmeen Masri is from New York City. A student caller at the Cornell Annual Fund and a tutor at a local elementary school in Ithaca, Yasmeen is always eager to help people out. She also hopes to one day gain an understanding the human brain. She enjoys traveling with family or friends, and loves trying fun new things, from creative desserts to bungee jumping.

Nour was born and raised in Port au Prince, Haiti. She is passionate about healthcare in countries in the Global South, where communicable diseases are prevalent. Growing up in Haiti provides her a unique perspective on healthcare, which she hopes to apply in the future in a meaningful way.

Lauren was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She transferred to Cornell her sophomore year form the University of Missouri-St. Louis. On campus, she is a member of PAX, PSP, and the Women’s Health Initiative, and is a mentor for CURB PMP. At the Robert W. Holley Center, she researches carotenoid accumulation and chromoplast biogenesis.

Dana is involved in MEDLIFE and the Sri Lankan Students’ Association  on campus and is also a College of Human Ecology Ambassador. She enjoys playing sports, particularly soccer and track, in her free time.

Daniela is from Satellite Beach, Florida. She is passionate about women’s health and on campus is a member of the Social Justice Committee for Cornell Caltholic, vice president of Women’s Club Swim, a Diversity Hosting host, and is involved in research. She loves spending time outdoors swimming, hiking,  at the beach, or on the slope.

Her hobbies include winning Broadway lotteries, baking, shopping, listening to music, and eating fast food. When not working, she is usually found studying in the stacks of Olin or re-watching Friends.

Gabriella grew up in Bayside, New York where she works at a local animal hospital. When not working, she loves reading, running, meeting new people, and walking her two dogs, Hercules and Nutmeg.

Maxine is an interdisciplinary studies major, combining her passions in animal and food science with business. She is on the pre-vet track and enjoys interning at her local animal clinic over breaks. On campus, she is involved in Dr. McFadden’s research lab, Volunteers Around the World, CALS Student Advisory Committee, and volunteering at the CARE center at the vet school.
