Anaisa is from Miami, FL, and is a Biological Sciences major with a concentration on Neurobiology with Inequality and Global Health minors in the College of Arts and Sciences. She hopes to pursue an MD/PhD and is a member of Rho Psi Eta’s Alpha class and the current Secretary. In addition to this, she is a part of the Biology Scholars Program and Kessler Presidential Scholars Program here at Cornell, where she has learned to develop the necessary study and presentation skills in order to succeed in her courses and field of study and also be active in the community through volunteering with local organizations and even within Cornell itself. She is also an undergraduate research assistant in the Goodale Lab, where she processes root nodules for isotopic analysis to study carbon storage and nitrogen fixation in the Adirondacks, NY. However, outside of academics, she loves fashion and photography and enjoys spending time with her friends and family, especially her dog.
